Samenvatting

Het virtuele uitstapje van Delleman (Neuropraxis, 1, 2010) geeft een gedegen beeld van de psychiatrische praktijk in de toekomst. Een van de door hem genoemde is echter al in een vergevorderd stadium: de virtuele-realiteittherapie. Dit artikel biedt een grondige analyse van deze nieuwe therapievorm waarbij wij het beeld van Delleman aanscherpen, nuanceren en voorzien van een aantal kritische kanttekeningen.
