Samenvatting

Ecstasy is een zeer bekende illegale uitgaansdrug die wereldwijd wordt gebruikt door met name adolescenten en jongvolwassenen. Ecstasy wordt ook wel XTC, dansdrug, knuffeldrug of simpelweg ‘E’ genoemd. Het slikken van een ecstasypil veroorzaakt bij gebruikers een heel prettig, euforisch gevoel. Verder stimuleert het in hoge mate de beleving van muziek en gaat het leggen van sociale contacten veel gemakkelijker. Bovendien geeft het de gebruiker het gevoel over een overmaat aan energie te beschikken. Dat klinkt allemaal heel positief en ecstasy staat dan ook bij de gebruiker bekend als relatief veilig.
