semenvatting

In de afgelopen twee decennia is het begrip vaderschap steeds meer verbreed, en blijken vaders een toenemende bereidheid aan den dag te leggen om zich bezig te houden met activiteiten die als typisch behorend tot de moederrol werden gezien. Met betrekking tot de ontwikkeling van zijn kinderen is de invloed van vader niet te vatten in één enkele ‘vaderrol’; van groot belang is de context (zoals de gezinssituatie en de sociaal-culturele omstandigheden) waarbinnen vader vader is.
