Een geïsoleerde acromionfractuur

Samenvatting

Fracturen van het acromion zijn relatief zeldzaam binnen de traumatologie. Acromionfracturen komen normaliter alleen voor bij hoogenergetische traumata. Daarnaast komen ze voornamelijk voor in combinatie met andere fracturen van de schoudergordel of traumatisch letsel elders in het lichaam. De meerderheid van deze fracturen kan conservatief behandeld worden met volledig herstel van functie van de schouder.
