De meerwaarde van een familiepoli

Samenvatting

Psychische klachten clusteren binnen gezinnen. Bovendien zijn er aanwijzingen dat behandeling van het ene gezinslid invloed kan hebben op het klachtenniveau van overige gezinsleden. GGZ inGeest heeft daarom een ‘familiepoli’. Na aanmelding van één gezinslid worden overige gezinsleden gescreend op psychische klachten, en als deze aanwezig zijn, worden kind en ouder beiden behandeld. Het nut van deze aanpak wordt geïllustreerd met de casus van Thomas en zijn moeder.
