Samenvatting

In dit artikel wordt een studie beschreven naar de effectiviteit van een nieuwe interventie die als doel heeft externaliserende gedragsproblemen bij één-, twee- en driejarige kinderen te verminderen door de sensitiviteit van moeders te verhogen en disciplineringsstrategieën te verbeteren. De interventie beoogt de ontwikkeling van antisociaal gedrag op de lange termijn te voorkomen of te verminderen, en is geïnspireerd op inzichten uit de gehechtheidstheorie van Bowlby en de ‘coercion’-theorie van Patterson. Daarnaast wordt beschreven hoe is voldaan aan de voorwaarden voor een succesvolle interventie(studie) zoals die naar voren komen uit twee meta-analyses van interventies gericht op sensitiviteit en gehechtheid.
