Samenvatting

Intuïtieve processen spelen een belangrijke rol bij iedere vorm van expertise, ook bij geneeskundige expertise. Intuïtie is het resultaat van ervaringsleren en ervaren dokters hebben geleerd op hun intuïtie te vertrouwen en weten ook dat dit vertrouwen niet absoluut kan zijn. Omdat ervaringen persoonsgebonden zijn, zijn intuïtieve beslisregels persoonlijk en niet overdraagbaar. De ontwikkeling van aan expertise gekoppelde intuïtie kan wel bevorderd worden binnen een goede, veilige leeromgeving.

Heuristiek: doelgerichte denkmethode (vuistregel) om een bepaald probleem waarvan de oplossing reeds vermoed wordt, op te lossen [12].
