Gedragstherapeutische en cognitieve interventies bij kinderen met angststoornissen

Samenvatting

In dit artikel worden die cognitief-gedragsmatige interventies voor kinderen met angststoornissen beschreven die de afgelopen jaren in onderzoek op effectiviteit werden geëvalueerd, waaronder psycho-educatie, exposure-in-vivo, ontspanningsoefeningen, copingstrategieën, contingency management, en cognitieve interventies, voor zowel kinderen als ouders. Daarna volgt een beschrijving van de resultaten van onderzoeken naar de effecten van behandeling van kinderen met angststoornissen, met een vergelijking van de korte- en langetermijneffecten van een wachtlijstconditie, individuele behandelingen, groepsbehandelingen en behandelingen via de ouders. Het artikel eindigt met een evaluatie van de huidige stand van zaken op dit gebied en aanbevelingen voor verder onderzoek.
