De invloed van protectieve en risicofactoren op de ontwikkeling en opvoeding van jonge kinderen

Samenvatting

Doelen van dit onderzoek zijn: 1. de invloed van individuele risicofactoren en van risicocumulatie op probleemgedrag van kinderen en opvoedingsgedrag onderzoeken in een niet-klinische steekproef van 177 moeders met hun peuter, 2. de beschermende werking van ervaren sociale steun tegen risicofactoren nagaan. Zowel individuele risicofactoren als risicocumulatie hangt samen met ongunstige ontwikkelingsuitkomsten (probleemgedrag van het kind, negatief opvoedingsgedrag). De grootte van de samenhang is afhankelijk van zowel de aard van de risicofactoren als van de gekozen uitkomstmaat. Ervaren sociale steun werkt voor slechts één van de drie uitkomstmaten (probleemgedrag van het kind) beschermend.
