The book “A Disease Called Childhood” by Marilyn Wedge discusses the over diagnosis and medication of the recent epidemic ADHD. Wedge shares many reasons why a child and parent should not rely on stimulant drugs. She also has many supporting arguments that ADHD is usually mistaken for other things like stress, diet, not enough physical activity, high standards, and immaturity. She believes the symptoms of ADHD can be fixed by therapy and intervention rather than medication. …
