11. Disseminatie van innovaties

Samenvatting

Effectieve verspreiding van (kennis over) innovaties is een voorwaarde voor implementatie, hoewel dit nog niet automatisch leidt tot toepassing in de praktijk. Disseminatie heeft tot doel op aanbevolen werkwijzen onder de aandacht te brengen van de doelgroep, zodat men begrijpt waar het om gaat en bereid is om er goed kennis van te nemen. In toenemende mate is ook het tegengaan van desinformatie een belangrijk doel. Voor disseminatie kunnen massamediale en persoonlijk methoden worden gebruikt, alsmede sociale media. Publicatie in vaktijdschriften is een veel gebruikte methode, maar hiermee worden meestal niet alle mogelijke gebruikers bereikt. Voorbeelden van aanvullende benaderingen zijn voordrachten in conferenties, berichten in sociale media, en gesprekken met beleidsmakers. Hierbij kunnen sleutelfiguren en opinieleiders worden ingezet. Inzicht in sociale netwerken kan disseminatie ondersteunen. Waarschijnlijk is het gebruiken van een combinatie van kanalen het meest effectief.
