3. Competenties van de supervisor

Samenvatting

Tegenwoordig wordt supervisie als een vak beschouwd. Zoals bij elk vak moet de beoefenaar vaardigheden ontwikkelen. Competentie gerichte supervisie sluit aan bij de methodiek van ‘evidence based clinical supervision’. Net zoals de supervisant competenties moet ontwikkelen, heeft ook de supervisor specifieke vaardigheden nodig. In dit hoofdstuk worden de belangrijkste competenties genoemd die een supervisor moet hebben. De competenties bestrijken een breed scala lopend van algemene vaardigheden, zoals het opbouwen van een veilige leeromgeving en van een supervisierelatie, via kennis van ethische vraagstukken, diversiteit of het formuleren van leerdoelen, tot het geven van feedback en de evaluatie van de supervisie. Deze competenties worden aangevuld met competenties die noodzakelijk zijn om aan te sluiten bij de doelstellingen en leercurve van de supervisant.
