Case report. Het beloop van een onbehandelde, laaggradige blaastumor

Samenvatting

Een 43-jarige man wordt gediagnosticeerd met een, bij toeval gevonden, blaastumor. Retrospectief is deze tumor al zichtbaar op een CT-scan die vier jaar eerder werd verricht. Kort voor aanvang van verdere diagnostiek is er een eerste episode met macroscopische hematurie. Uit de gepresenteerde casus blijkt dat laaggradige, niet-spierinvasieve blaastumoren, hoewel ongebruikelijk, langdurig asymptomatisch kunnen zijn, zonder invasieve groei te gaan vertonen.
