Samenvatting

Dit hoofdstuk gaat over het handelingsgebied ‘zorgen en wonen’. Dit handelingsgebied omvat behalve het verblijven in een woning, het daarbij behorende dagelijks handelen op het gebied van zelfzorg, de zorg voor anderen en het huishouden. Ook (nacht)rust en seksualiteit horen hierbij. Verder kan de woning gezien worden als de uitvalsbasis bij het ondernemen van allerlei activiteiten binnen de verschillende handelingsgebieden. Het hoofdstuk begint met het concept ‘zorgen’, waarbij wordt ingegaan op de levensloop van zorgen, de betekenis van zorgen en het begrip zorgregie. Vervolgens komt het concept ‘wonen’ en de betekenis van wonen aan bod. Daarbij worden de zes dimensies van wonen en de invloed van cultuur op het wonen beschreven. De sociaal-maatschappelijke en technologische ontwikkelingen en de invloed hiervan op zorgen en wonen komen aan bod en er wordt ingegaan op verschillende zorginterventies en wooninterventies die je als ergotherapeut kan toepassen in je dagelijks werk.
