Samenvatting

Behalve in de arts-patiëntcommunicatie speelt empathie een rol in andere gebieden. In dit hoofdstuk beschrijf ik de meningen van antropologen en biologen, geef ik inzicht in ontwikkelingspsychologische aspecten van empathie en bespreek ik sociaal-maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen.
