Existentiële thema’s in de psychotherapie van een adolescent

Abstract

Deze cliëntgericht-experiëntiële psychotherapie van een adolescent illustreert existentiële thema’s als eenzaamheid, dood, zinloosheid, vrijheid, verantwoordelijkheid, existentiële angst en schuld. De adolescentie is een periode van grote existentiële transformatie. In de psychotherapieliteratuur wordt de existentiële dimensie van de adolescentie vaak over het hoofd gezien. Dit artikel doet een oproep om deze dimensie opnieuw een plaats te geven in het psychotherapeutische werk met adolescente cliënten.
