Psychoanalyse en evidentie

Samenvatting

De psychoanalyse wordt in Nederland niet langer vergoed als gezondheidszorgvoorziening. Het belangrijkste argument is een vermeend gebrek aan bewijs voor de effectiviteit van de psychoanalyse. Dit artikel gaat dieper in op de achtergrond van deze argumentatie. Er is in de geestelijke gezondheidszorg behoefte aan evidentie met als doel de psychiatrie en psychotherapie in wetenschappelijk opzicht te emanciperen en aansluiting te laten vinden bij de somatische gezondheidszorg. Om de effectiviteit of liever de waarde van psychoanalyse aan te tonen is een onderzoeksmethodologie nodig die meer recht doet aan het eigene van de psychoanalyse, die een hermeneutische discipline is in het overgangsgebied tussen begrijpen en verklaren.
