Operatieve behandeling van een extraarticulaire triplane fractuur van de enkel

Samenvatting

Extra-articulaire triplane fracturen van de distale tibia zijn zeldzame letsels. Omdat de integriteit van het distale tibiagewrichtsvlak onaangetast blijft, kan de behandeling vaak bestaan uit onbloedige repositie en gipsimmobilisatie. In de door ons beschreven casus werd dit echter verhinderd door een tevens aanwezige fibulafractuur, zodat operatieve interventie noodzakelijk was.
