Nieuwe wegen in de psychoanalyse

Samenvatting

In dit artikel wordt een overzicht gegeven van enkele belangrijke trends in de psychoanalyse en hoe deze zich verder zouden kunnen ontwikkelen. De kritiek op de psychoanalyse wordt bondig samengevat. De vraag of de klassieke psychoanalyse nog relevant is, wordt in verband gebracht met een discussie van het effectiviteitsonderzoek. De belangrijkste verschuivingen komen aan bod alsook de communicatie met de andere wetenschappen en de nieuwe invloeden op de theorie en techniek van de psychoanalyse en de impact van de mentalisatiebeweging.
