Kinderen met onbehandelbare epilepsie: anticonvulsieve en psychotrope effecten van nervus vagus-stimulatie

Samenvatting

Nervus vagus-stimulatie (nvs) is een zinvolle behandeling voor kinderen met farmacotherapieresistente epilepsie. Aan de hand van de ziektegeschiedenis van drie kinderen wordt het indicatiegebied en de verschillende effecten van nvs beschreven. De ervaringen met een grotere groep van 32 kinderen worden samengevat en bediscussieerd.
