Samenvatting

We leven in een wereld van te veel en moeten dus keuzes maken. Keuzes maken is lastig: we zijn bang iets te missen of iets te verliezen. We willen de enige juiste keuze maken. Kiezen is ook krachtig: het geeft energie, helderheid en een gevoel van controle. Je vergroot je cirkel van invloed. Ons brein opereert nog alsof er schaarste heerst, heeft een confirmatie-bias, laat emoties overheersen en is een slechte voorspeller. In dit hoofdstuk omzeil je zoveel mogelijk deze valkuilen. Je leert in vijf stappen de kunst van het kiezen. Je benoemt je intenties, je onderzoekt je opties, je dealt met je dilemma, je ontwikkelt een behulpzame growth mindset en handelt als een satisficer. Je maakt je eigen keuze.
