Abstract

Onze maatschappij doet een steeds hoger beroep op het menselijke visuele systeem. Informatie wordt meer en meer visueel overgedragen. Het is van groot belang om teksten goed te kunnen lezen, verkeersborden te kunnen zien, en tv- en niet te vergeten computerschermen te kunnen bekijken. Visuele stoornissen, zoals het verlies van delen van het gezichtsveld, kunnen het opnemen van deze informatie heel moeilijk maken. Dit artikel bespreekt training die gezichtsvelduitval door een niet-aangeboren hersenletsel mogelijk kan verminderen.
