Het meten van rijvaardigheid in het normale verkeer: de effecten van hypnotica

Abstract

Het onderzoek naar de effecten van psychoactieve stoffen op de rijvaardigheid is van groot belang omdat steeds meer verkeersdeelnemers van die stoffen gebruikmaken. Er zijn verscheidene methoden om de rijvaardigheid te bepalen, waaronder laboratoriumtesten, simulators en een rijvaardigheidstest in het normale verkeer. De laatstgenoemde blijkt het normale rijden het best te repliceren. In de 100-km-rijvaardigheidstest worden proefpersonen geïnstrueerd het voertuig te besturen met een constante laterale positie en snelheid. De mate van slingeren van de auto, de Standaard Deviatie van de Laterale Positie (sdlp), is de belangrijkste maat die de voertuigbeheersing (en dus rijvaardigheid) weergeeft.
