Inleiding

Het carpale-tunnelsyndroom (CTS ) is een frequent voorkomend klinisch probleem waarvoor vaak een chirurgische behandeling nodig is. Aangezien bijna alle patiënten voor een EMG in aanmerking komen, zal in een gemiddelde perifere neurologiepraktijk het CTS verantwoordelijk zijn voor ruim de helft van de EMG’s.
