Samenvatting

De fysiotherapeut is de specialist op het gebied van het bewegend functioneren. Mensen komen bij de fysiotherapeut als zij problemen ervaren met bewegen, of omdat zij gezondheidsproblemen hebben waarvoor een beweeginterventie is geïndiceerd. Dit hoofdstuk bespreekt aan de hand van casuïstiek een aantal uitdagingen en digitale oplossingen binnen de dagelijkse fysiotherapiepraktijk. Digitale toepassingen kunnen zowel de patiënt als de fysiotherapeut ondersteunen in de diagnostische, therapeutische en nazorgfase. In dit hoofdstuk wordt onderscheid gemaakt tussen drie digitaliseringsdomeinen die elkaar deels overlappen: bewegend functioneren binnen handbereik (digitale middelen om te monitoren, activeren en informeren), interactie rondom bewegend functioneren (technologie als communicatiemiddel) en data-ondersteund bewegend functioneren (het verzamelen, beheren en gebruiken van data). De verschillende domeinen van digitale toepassingen kunnen bijdragen aan gepersonaliseerde en efficiënte fysiotherapie. Patiënten zullen beter geïnformeerd zijn en worden door de inzet van digitale toepassingen gestimuleerd en gemotiveerd hun bewegend functioneren zelf te managen.
