Abstract

EYCA member organisations issue the European Youth Card to over 5 million young Europeans and are committed to promoting youth mobility and active citizenship to all young people.
The European Youth Card is a tool to support young people in their personal and professional development. It gives all young people under the age of 30 access to over 60,000 discounts and benefits on transportation, accommodation, culture, sports, entertainment, products and services all across the EYCA network of 36 European countries. One of the elements that make the European Youth Card a unique tool is the fact that it is not limited to students.
On the European level, EYCA works closely with institutions such as the Council of Europe and the European Commission with the aim of helping to improve youth policy responses to current issues affecting young people. Being in contact with over 5 million young people, EYCA works to engage non-organised youthCB – one of the most hard-to-reach groups – in a constructive dialogue with all levels of government.
