Een peuter met genitaal bloedverlies

Samenvatting

We beschrijven een 2-jarig meisje met genitaal bloedverlies op basis van urethra prolaps. De diagnose urethra prolaps wordt gesteld door inspectie, al dan niet onder narcose. De therapie bij een minimale prolaps bestaat meestal uit afwachten of uit warme zitbaden enkele malen per dag en applicatie van oestrogeenhoudende crème. Chirurgische excisie van het geprolabeerde slijmvlies dan wel ligatie over een transurethrale katheter zijn eveneens behandelingsopties. Langetermijncomplicaties zijn zeldzaam.
