De evolutionaire psychologie van jaloezie

Abstract

Op basis van de evolutionaire psychologie mag verwacht worden dat de sociale dominantie van een rivaal meer jaloezie opwekt bij mannen dan bij vrouwen, terwijl de fysieke aantrekkelijkheid van een rivaal meer jaloezie opwekt bij vrouwen dan bij mannen. Of dit daadwerkelijk zo is, wordt duidelijk aan de hand van twee onderzoeken naar heteroseksuele en homoseksuele jaloezie die in dit artikel worden beschreven.
