6. De ergotherapeut

Samenvatting

Dit hoofdstuk gaat over de ergotherapeut. Het basisdeel beschrijft de zes uitgangspunten van ergotherapie: gebaseerd op dagelijks handelen, persoonsgericht, vindt plaats in de context, gebaseerd op bewijs, gebruikt technologie en is gemeenschapsgericht. Daarna wordt ingegaan op het ‘waarom’, het ‘hoe’ en het ‘wat’ van ergotherapie in de praktijk. De vier verschillende praktijkcontexten van de ergotherapeut worden beschreven, waarbij ook de meest recente cijfers over ergotherapeuten zijn meegenomen. Het basisdeel eindigt met een beschrijving van de stand van zaken van ergotherapie in België en Nederland. Het verdiepend deel gaat in op de volgende onderwerpen: creativiteit, leiderschap in ergotherapie, onderzoekend vermogen en ethisch redeneren. Er wordt ingegaan op het belang van internationalisering, de belangrijke internationale netwerken worden beschreven en het eindigt met het belang van duurzaamheid voor je ergotherapiepraktijk.
