7. Professioneel redeneren

Samenvatting

Professioneel redeneren is het proces van nadenken en het samen beslissen, plannen, evalueren en verantwoorden van acties in de praktijk. Professionele besluitvorming kan gezien worden als het eindresultaat van professioneel redeneren. Bij besluitvorming worden het perspectief van de persoon, het perspectief van de therapeut en het perspectief van bewijs afgewogen en met elkaar geïntegreerd. In het basisdeel van dit hoofdstuk worden acht verschillende vormen van professioneel redeneren besproken. Elke vorm wordt geïllustreerd aan de hand van een voorbeeld, en de definitie wordt gegeven. In het verdiepende deel wordt dieper ingegaan op de onderliggende theoretische kaders die aan de grondslag liggen van de verschillende vormen van professioneel redeneren. Ergotherapie is een two-body practice: het professioneel redeneren van ergotherapie baseert zich op het redeneren vanuit een empirisch-analytisch referentiekader en het redeneren vanuit een interpretatief referentiekader. Het kritisch-emancipatorisch referentiekader wordt als derde theoretische kader besproken.
