De HoNOSC A is een eenvoudig en gebruikersvriendelijk instrument om het dagelijks functioneren van kinderen en jongeren te meten. Het instrument wordt ingevuld door de behandelaar en niet door de cliënt of verzorger. Dit maakt de HoNOSC A bij uitstek geschikt voor teams die bemoeizorg bieden en/of een gezamenlijke caseload hebben. In casuïstiek- en evaluatiebesprekingen draagt het instrument bij aan de volledigheid van informatieverzameling, kwantitatieve onderbouwing van de behandelplanning en afstemming tussen teamleden. Routinematig gebruik zorgt voor transparantie en ontwikkeling van de methodiek.
