Introductie

Dit hoofdstuk gaat wat dieper in op het mortonneurinoom, een verdikking van de nervus digitalis plantaris ten gevolge van compressie van de zenuw tussen de kopjes van twee ossa metatarsalia. De oorzaken, symptomen en diagnostische mogelijkheden worden beschreven. Hierbij is er extra aandacht voor klinische tests die de aandoening kunnen aantonen of uitsluiten. Ten slotte komen de conservatieve en de operatieve behandeling aan bod.
