Samenvatting

Stotteren is een stoornis in de vloeiendheid van de spraak waarbij een persoon wel precies weet wat hij wenst te zeggen maar dit tijdelijk niet kan omwille van een onwillekeurige herhaling, verlenging of blokkade bij een klank (World Health Organization, 1977).

Koller haalt hier in feite lokalisatie van het letsel en aard van het letsel door elkaar maar het is duidelijk dat met stotteren van vasculaire of traumatische oorsprong bedoeld is stotteren ten gevolge van een corticaal letsel.
