De waarde van evidence voor de praktijk

Samenvatting

1. Met een generalistische aanpak zoals huisartsen die hebben, kunnen wetenschap en praktijk goed worden geïntegreerd.

2. Integratie wordt bemoeilijkt doordat evidence, wetenschappelijk bewijsmateriaal, met de grootste mate van bewijskracht in de gangbare hiërarchie van evidence-based medicine (EBM) de minste aansluiting bij patiënten in de praktijk geeft, terwijl het bewijsmateriaal waarin de praktijksituatie het meest wordt weerspiegeld het laagst wordt gewaardeerd.
