4. Tendinitis calcarea

Samenvatting

Na een periode van enkele jaren met geringe schouderklachten krijgt een 53-jarige vrouw spontaan, in de loop van een enkele dag, hevige schouderpijn. De pijn is zo erg, dat zij haar arm niet meer kan heffen. Een dergelijke pijn, zonder duidelijk trauma in de voorgeschiedenis, wordt vaak veroorzaakt door inflammatie van een kalkspat die zich in een pees bevindt. Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft een voorbeeldcasus, de onderzoeksbevindingen, de verschillende stadia van de aandoening en de behandelmogelijkheden.
