Samenvatting

Het is van groot belang sfincterletsels goed te herkennen en te herstellen, omdat er op lange termijn een grote kans op morbiditeit bestaat. Na een sfincterletsel hebben vrouwen vaak emotionele, fysieke en/of seksuele problemen. Ook bij optimale zorg zijn er echter nog veel restverschijnselen en complicaties.
