Samenvatting

Historisch gezien wordt bij humerusschachtfracturen een conservatieve behan-deling gekozen. Echter, humerusschachtfracturen kunnen ook effectief operatief worden behandeld, bijvoorbeeld intramedullair.1-3 Een antegrade benadering heeft daarbij de voorkeur bij proximale humerusschachtfracturen en een retrograde benadering bij distale fracturen. Over de midschachtfracturen is in de literatuur nog geen consensus.4,5
