In The Anger Workbook for Teens (second edition), author Raychelle Cassada Lohmann delivers a workbook for counselors of teens with anger issues. This is a critical stage for intervention on this issue, because dysregulated anger can have negative effects that can carry through into adulthood (Del Vecchio and O’Leary 2004; Lohmann 2018). In addition, teens with anger issues have a higher prevalence of academic problems and psychosocial issues, than their non-aggressive counterparts (Smith et al. 2016). The workbook presents activities to help the teen with anger issues learn what provokes their anger, and when provoked, what can calm them down. Under professional supervision, the teen learns how to reduce the intensity of their reactions, and implement adaptive coping skills. …
