The National Research and Development Organisation for (public) Health (ZonMw) invested in the period between 1999 and 2006 19 million euros in 104 projects on health promotion topics. A variety of projects concerning new innovative approaches, effect studies and (large scale) implementation projects and studies were executed. In this article their results are analysed. What has been done with each of these results after the project was finished? 99 of the 104 analysed projects got an adequate continuation. 13 projects stopped and 86 came into a next phase. Recommendations are given about how the knowledge from all these projects can better become implemented.
