Is antistolling bij een flutter met wisselend blok geïndiceerd?

Samenvatting

Boezemflutter is een ritmestoornis waarbij de atria met een stabiele frequentie van 240-320/min (meestal rond de 300/min) worden geactiveerd. De atrio-ventriculaire geleiding (AV-geleiding) is meestal regulair, namelijk ≥ 2:1. In uitzonderlijke gevallen kan er zelfs 1:1 AV-geleiding optreden (zoals bij een hoge adrenerge tonus of na verlenging van de boezemflutter-cycluslengte door anti-aritmica, bijvoorbeeld flecaïnide), wat tot gevaarlijke hoge ventrikelfrequenties kan leiden. Soms is er sprake van een wisselend AV-blok.
