Per jaar worden in Nederland ongeveer tweeduizend mensen met een enkelfractuur met begeleidend syndesmoseletsel behandeld. Recentelijk zijn er, in studies waarbij postoperatief CT-scans gemaakt werden, vraagtekens gezet bij de accuratesse van de conventionele doorlichting met betrekking tot de repositie van de syndesmose. De huidige studie had als doel het vaststellen van de frequentie en het type van malpositie van de syndesmose peroperatief. …
