Samenvatting

Dissociatie is vooral bekend als symptoom bij traumagerelateerde psychiatrische aandoeningen. Bij gezonde mensen kan het echter ook gezien worden als een cognitieve vaardigheid die losstaat van traumatische gebeurtenissen. Verschillende meetmethoden voor hersenactiviteit zoals EEG en fMRI geven inzicht in de hersengebieden die betrokken zijn bij dissociatieve vaardigheden.
