Samenvatting

Een 73-jarige vrouw krijgt geleidelijk steeds meer knieklachten. Er blijkt sprake te zijn van een beginnende artrose. Hoofdstuk 8 begint met het verhaal van deze patiënte en hoe zij hiervoor door de fysiotherapeut onderzocht wordt. Vervolgens beschrijft het hoofdstuk de bevindingen bij het onderzoek. De symptomatologie is die van een ‘klassieke’ patiënt met een knieartrose. De bespreking na de patiëntencasus gaat dieper in op artrose van de knie. Verder wordt uitgebreid aandacht besteed aan de therapeutische mogelijkheden voor deze chronische aandoening.
