Event related potentials bij neuropsychiatrische aandoeningen en verslaving

Abstract

Opgeroepen hersenpotentialen, zogenoemde event related potentials (erp's), zijn kleine, zeer snelle veranderingen in elektrische hersenactiviteit, die gedetecteerd kunnen worden in het aan de oppervlakte van de schedel geregistreerde elektro–encefalogram (eeg). In het onderzoek naar neuropsychiatrische aandoeningen en verslaving kunnen erp–componenten op twee manieren worden toegepast.
