Samenvatting

Doel van dit hoofdstuk is de lezer te leren de acuut zieke patiënt op de verpleegafdeling vroeg te signaleren en vervolgens te handelen aan de hand van de SBARR-methode en de ABCDE-methodiek. Gestructureerde communicatie is van belang om tijdig de hulp te kunnen inroepen van bijvoorbeeld het spoedinterventieteam (SIT) en het reanimatieteam.
