8 Preventie van psychotische terugval door vroegsignalering en vroege interventie

Samenvatting

Schizofrenie heeft een zeer variabel beloop. Sommige patiënten maken slechts één of een beperkt aantal episodes door en herstellen hiervan relatief goed. Bij een ander deel van de patiënten verloopt de ziekte veel minder voorspoedig. Hun kwetsbaarheid is bijzonder groot, waardoor zij keer op keer worden geconfronteerd met een nieuwe psychotische episode, veelal met onvolledig herstel. Zij hebben vaak aanhoudend psychotische symptomen.
