Samenvatting

In Nederland krijgen per jaar ongeveer 550 kinderen kanker. De frequentie van deze aandoeningen bij kinderen is laag. Toch wordt de huistandarts in toenemende mate met deze patiënten geconfronteerd, dankzij de verbeterde overlevingskansen en het streven de behandeling zo veel mogelijk poliklinisch te laten plaatsvinden.
