Samenvatting

De harde tandweefsels worden in twee opeenvolgende stadia gevormd: neerslag van organische matrix en mineralisatie. Een storing in elk van deze fases kan een abnormaliteit van de tandweefsels veroorzaken, die vooral belangrijk wordt wanneer het glazuur daarbij betrokken is. Een verstoring van de matrixneerslag veroorzaakt een hypoplasie, terwijl door een storing in de mineralisatiefase een hypomineralisatie ontstaat.
