Samenvatting

Een belangrijke oorzaak van verlies van gebitselementen bij kinderen is het frequent optreden van gebitsbeschadigingen door traumata en complicaties die daarna optreden. Een gebitstrauma, hoe klein ogenschijnlijk ook, moet altijd als een spoedeisend probleem worden beschouwd en moet dus liefst zo snel mogelijk worden onderzocht en behandeld.
