Samenvatting

In enkele millennia is de mens veranderd van jager en verzamelaar in de moderne consument, die zich zonder enige inspanning te goed kan doen aan vrijwel ongelimiteerde hoeveelheden voedsel. Daarbij komt dat dit voedsel in calorische waarde per eenheid gewicht enorm is toegenomen.
